Overview
This training event will raise awareness of the issues relating to working with children and families where there has been some form of trauma.
Learning outcomes

  • Review the causes of trauma and impact on children, adults and families (including transgenerational trauma).

  • Recognise trauma responses, understanding resilience and post traumatic growth in ourselves and the people we work with.

  • Practice skills and share resources in responding in a sensitive and relationship based way to trauma.

  •  Examine vicarious trauma and the impact on professionals.

  • Review the learning and embed new skills into practice.
