Anti Racism: Early Years Action: Modules 2,3 & 4

Course Code
Course Types
This is a fabulous opportunity for Early Years practitioners to understand how to create an Anti-Racist culture within our Early Years settings.

The Black Lives Matter movement and race riots have put a spotlight on systemic inequalities, race, racism and the direct treatment of Black people in the UK.

In this course, we consider how all this feeds into education, in particular Early Years education. Together, we explore how to respond to questions and comments like "why is your skin pink and my skin’s brown?" "How can we celebrate black history month in an Anti-Racist way?"

In this exciting program, we consider how to implement practical changes to our educational policies, practices and environments. We look at how to demonstrate Anti-Racist action and, we discuss whether this can be aligned with ideas and concepts like inclusion, child development and OFSTED's idea of cultural capital.

Please note that programme is suitable for Early Years Managers and leaders who are responsible for implementing changes to your day to day practices.
