This course is for Adult Social Care staff and enables first aiders to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill. It includes both theory and practical sessions and is designed to boost confidence.
There are a number of practical assessments throughout the course that delegates will have to complete. There is also a multiple choice assessment paper at the end of the course. Certificates, valid for three years, will be issued to those who have met the required standard.
Each delegate will be provided with a first aid manual.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
Please wear sensible clothing and footwear as this is a practical session.
Please be aware that if you are unable to participate in the practical sessions you will only receive a certificate of attendance, not a full certificate which assesses your competency, and you will have to attend a session at a later date when you are fit and well to have your competency assessed.
