Overview
VERY IMPORTANT – it is essential that you and your manager read the attached COVID-19 Risk Assessment Guidance for Training Participants before attending this training.
This course provides essential training for those people who, as part of their role, need to carry out short duration work at height,using basic access equipment such as ladders and stepladders. This course is also recommended for those that manage or supervise staff that undertake work at height.
This training is not suitable for those who routinely access significant heights over 3 metres, or for those who use more specialised equipment.
Clothing and Footwear - there is a practical element to this course so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear e.g. (loose clothing and closed, flat shoes or trainers)
Refresher training is recommended every 3 years.
If you are engaged in the assembly, use, inspection and dismantling of mobile scaffold towers, then you must attend PASMA training. PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association) is the nationally recognised body for mobile access towers safety and training. Courses must be run by accredited training centres and instructors.
