Access to the Boardroom
Please note, this room is accessed via a number of stairs and is therefore not accessible to wheelchair users and people who may have difficulty using stairs . If this will affect your ability to attend this course, please email the Learning and Development Team by email to - learning@brighton-hove.gov.uk so alternative arrangements can be made for you to attend first aid training.
Please note: - this course is open to adult social care staff across the council and across the Independent Voluntary Sector. Whilst the course is delivered in a covid secure way, please consider with your manager whether it is essential for you to attend as the delegates may be a mix of staff from different workplaces.
This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years, and will be issued to those who have met the required standard. You will need to re-take the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified by attending a full one day/six hour Emergency First Aid - Adult Social Care course.
Please wear sensible clothing and footwear as this is a practical session.
Please be aware that if you are unable to participate in the practical sessions, for example, because you can not kneel, then you will only receive a certificate of attendance, and will not gain the qualification which assesses your competency, and you will have to attend a session at a later date when you are fit and well to have your competency assessed. In exceptional circumstances, delegates who are not able to kneel may be able to carry out the task from a standing position, and this is acceptable.
