This full day event will help you identify children who may be victims of sexual abuse, and consider how to respond appropriately, including liaising with the children's SARC for CSA medicals, and working alongside police investigations.

It will also raise your awareness of the support that is in place to support the child or young person.

It will make you consider all aspects of an investigation,with imput around the details of medicals, and working with potential offenders, within families.

By the end of this course you will be able to;

  • To increase understanding and awareness of child sexual abuse.

  • Increase confidence in how you would respond to disclosures. 

  • To understand what support services are in place to assist the child or young person.

  • To think about what happens in a  CSA medical @ SARC (Pebble House)

  • To consider what processes are in place to report and investigate CSA.

  • To consider how safeguarding and investigation work together.
