A 15 or 30 credit Masters level module for experienced practitioners or managers wanting to bring prior learning and experience into a CPD award pathway. Practitioners must have at least 30 credits gained from stand-alone CPD modules.
The module comprises an individually tailored delivery of tutorials and, dependent on participant numbers, group tutorial sessions. These will assist the candidate to review previous learning against current learning outcomes, plan work and critically reflect on past and current practice in relation to contemporary reading and research relevant to role and award pathway.
This module particularly suits experienced practitioners needing 15 or 30 credits to complete a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma award, though it can be undertaken as a stand-alone module providing an opportunity for you to bring previous study (for example the Practice Teacher’s Award) up to date
and refresh your skills and knowledge.
NOTE: This module is primarily self study. Teaching will focus on the use of relevant knowledge and research for role (mapped against PCF) and the development of professional leadership in the role.
Dates for the tutorials are TBC but will start spring 2023.
Review and reflect on previous learning, refresh your skills and knowledge, critically reflect on past and current practice, review current
publications and research relevant to your professional role.
A learner contract applies to this module. Please return the learner contract and University application form to lindsey.cockram@brighton-hove.gov.uk by 25th July 2022.
This module is for practitioners who have already accrued at least 30 post graduate level credits in free standing CPD modules. Candidates must be in professional practice or management in social work or a related field.
