Please note: these training sessions are aimed at people who use CareFirst to input information such as casenotes, assessments etc. Those with READ ONLY ACCESS or those in FINANCE TEAMS will be provided separate training which will be advertised at a later date.

Lung cancer is the third most common cancer in the UK. It is more common as you get older. 79% of lung cancer cases are preventable, learn about the risk and causes and the sign and symptoms of lung cancer.


The Speak Up Against Cancer team are working to raise awareness, as well as early signs and symptoms. The team are fully trained, local volunteers with an experience of cancer. They believe that the power of lived experience is extremely powerful and are keen to hear from other local people whose cancer was caught early and successfully treated.

This three day on line course is aimed at all social work staff who carry out the role of a Lead Enquiry Officer (LEO) or who supervise staff carrying out this role. Throughout the course we will be focusing on Making Safeguarding Personal and working with individuals and their identified outcomes to ensure their safety.
