The Youth Mental Health First Aid course is an internationally recognised course designed specifically for those that teach, work, live with or care for young people aged 8 to 18 years.
The sessions will be a mix of presentations, discussions and group work activities. Instructors provide a safe learning environment and are trained to support you throughout the whole course. If you don’t feel comfortable joining in certain parts, then there is no pressure to.
When you have completed the course you will receive a certificate to confirm that you are a trained Youth Mental Health First Aider.

Please note: participants will be required to pay £20 to cover the cost of the course textbook and workbook.
For non-Council staff: this will be added to your basket on requesting a place. You will need to pay this online using a debit or credit card.
For Council staff: this fee will automatically be deducted from your budget after completing the course.
