This course is for adult social care provider staff. It aims to develop understanding of diabetes, and its management. The course describes some of the health complications associated with diabetes, ways of managing the condition and how to recognise when a person requires emergency assistance.

This half day workshop emphasises the importance of manager support for equality and diversity within the council in service delivery and staff management. It covers the Equality Act 2010, with a focus on the demographic make-up of the city and BHCC recruitment, selection, retention and management of staff. The workshop will also look at the impact and potential consequences of a breach of the Act for individuals, managers and the council’s reputation.
