This course is for social workers, care managers and occupational therapists involved in assessing the needs of people with dementia and their carers. Prior to attending this course you will already have an understanding of dementia and its psycho-social impact upon individuals.
 
This course will equip all those involved in assessing the needs of people living with dementia and their carers to undertake person-centred needs assessments.

This course is mandatory for those working with children from birth to five years.

It is also suitable for those working with children from birth to puberty, including foster carers, schools and CVS practitioners.

Early Years staff should attend the course listed in the CEYC training guide.

This two day course and certification is dependent upon successful continuous assessment of the delegate. There is no final examination. Participants must attend both days to achieve the Certificate in Paediatric First Aid, a recognised qualification valid for three years.

Code: BH/18/060 Food Safety Level 2 Award (Priority Children's Services)

This Certificate in Food Safety is only for kitchen staff and those with a main role working in a kitchen and handling food in adults and children's services. Adult social care staff who may handle food as part of their role should apply for Food Safety, Nutrition & Hydration.

This programme will ensure that food handlers meet the training requirements of the Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 2013 and are fully conversant with the practical procedures and methods of applying food hygiene in the workplace.

Code: BH/18/053 Safer People Handling Risk Assessor Refresher (EVENT FULL)

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require employers to make suitable and sufficient assessments of all manual handling operations and to take appropriate steps to reduce the risk of injury to the lowest level reasonably practicable. This course will provide assessors with an annual update on the information and skills to undertake assessments of manual handling needs. This course is aimed at staff who have completed the Safer People Handling Risk Assessor refresher course or the full course ('safer people handling risk assessor') within the last 12 months.

Participants will receive an attendance certificate to show that they have received training under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.

This workshop will explore how to idenitfy stalking behaviours, the impact of stalking and harassment on victims, and best practice around recording and reporting instances of stalking. The session will also explore the legal protection available for victims of stalking.
