The emphasis of this 2 day course is to develop social work skills in understanding the complexity of domestic abuse dynamics, making robust assessments which balance risk and strengths to help formulate a clear analysis around child safety and parental capacity to change.

You will leave day 1 with a personalised learning goal that you will be able to review with the support of the group and facilitators on day 2. Day 2 will also help you to develop skills in safety planning with the whole family to help you make realistic recommendations.

Guest speakers, Veritas Justice, will give an introduction to stalking and overview of what this means for assessment and intervention.
