Code: BH/17/641 Complaints Investigation for Service Improvement

This course is specifically aimed at BHCC non-social care managers who investigate and respond to complaints about their service area.

Complaints are a valuable source of information telling us what customers in general think about our services. Complaints that are responded to in a meaningful way can improve the way customers view the organisation. This learning will help managers produce effective responses and will demonstrate how to identify and implement service improvements.

Code: BH/16/999 Working with Traveller Families

The Traveller population in Brighton & Hove to date has been  mainly mobile and  existed  on the edge of residential communities.   It has often  been  difficult for professionals to engage with these close knit but hard to reach families and groups, and frequently difficult for a mobile population to access services. Brighton & Hove after years of negotiation with all stakeholders are  providing both a residential Traveller site and a refurbished short stay site, providing a total of 33 pitches.   This will provide better opportunities to ensure improved access to services and promote  good relations  with the local community

This course aims to share the good practice, developed over two decades. of successful ways of working and engaging with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
