How to register 
Brighton and Hove City Council staff (excluding schools, temporary workers, volunteers and those on placements) have accounts linked to Pier.  Please login here. If you have difficulty in accessing your account please contact us at
         Step by step registration guides are available:
         Registration if you are working or volunteering in a service/organisation/school
         Registration for registered foster carers and personal assistants in Brighton & Hove
         Anyone else would need to contact for access in the first instance
Council staff logging in outside of the council network 
You will be prompted to manually login. You need to login as follows:
Username: Your Brighton and Hove email address
Password: Your network password

Course bookings

My Profile & Bookings
Once logged in visit My Profile and Bookings to view training histories, course bookings and elearning progress. You can also amend your details, course alerts and add additional learning here.  See our one page guide to these features (council staff should update their details via Pier)
Downloading your Certificate
Once you have attended training and completed your evaluation you can download your certificate.  See our quick 1 page steps to access your training record, enter your evaluation and download your certificate
Changes in Employment?
  • If you have, or are about to change employers, please let us know and we will update your account
  • Non Brighton and Hove City Council managers should also notify us of any leavers to their service so that we can update your team list
  • Brighton and Hove City Council employees and managers should make any changes via Pier

Credit card payments
For non-council services where course attendance charges apply the designated line manager will be required to complete all payments by logging on to the Gateway and completing via the basket (top right of screen) to avoid booking cancellation.

Not authorised to book on a course? 
The Gateway has restricted access to many courses.  It may be that you are booking on to a course that is restricted to council staff only or for those people working in a particular service area eg adult social care.  Please check the full details of the course to see who the course is for.  If you feel there is an error and you believe you should have access, please let us know
