This half-day workshop is for any man who is interested in how the changes that occur in midlife might be affecting them and what to do about it.
The interactive session enables participants not only to learn, discuss and exchange knowledge and information, but also to embrace this life transition and emerge more focused, stronger and with increased confidence.

Course outline:
Questionnaire exploring variety of potential experiences
Possible impact on personal and professional life
Explanation of changes and why they happen
How to support yourself during this life phase, physically, mentally and emotionally
The way forward - setting and achieving your goals

Learning outcomes
By the end of this course you will:

  • Have a clear understanding of how, if at all, midlife is affecting them and the possible causes

  • Have knowledge of male hormones, their lifecycle and their potential impact during midlife

  • Have an understanding of the physical changes that may take place during midlife and the importance of adapting, as necessary

  • Be clear about the important health checks for men at midlife

  • Gain an understanding of the importance of a well-balanced diet for all aspects of health and well-being

  • Gain an appreciation of physical and mental well-being and how to improve both of these, if necessary

  • Understand and be able to develop strategies for making any necessary personal changes / adjustments, if necessary, including:

  • Have an understanding of the importance of developing mental resilience and learning how to manage stress

  • Have tools to access methods of change, if necessary

  • Have access to national resources

You will be offered information, advice and support and will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. The course is run with full confidentiality in a safe space with absolutely no obligation to share anything you choose not to.

The course will be facilitated by Katie Day, a trainer, consultant and coach with decades of experience working around the world supporting organisations on gender diversity and leadership development. She has a particular interest in supporting women with their health and wellbeing.

The session is open to those identyfing as trans or non-binary.
