This course is aimed at staff working in provider services.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • describe up to date evidence based practice on supporting people with dementia

  • review person centred approaches to supporting people with dementia, family carers and staff

  • evaluate current practice in relation to person centred dementia practice

  • identify actions to enhance current work practices

  • signpost people to dementia services across health and social care in the city

There are four elearning modules on dementia produced for Health Education England in conjunction with the Univesity of Bradford:

Applicants must have attended dementia awareness type training within two years of attending this course.
