Overview
This training workshop will enable attendees to:  Identify what parental conflict is and isn’t.  Explore the research into its impact on children, as well as our own personal and professional responses to conflict and relationship challenges.  Support parents by finding out about what is available for them to improve their relationship, as well as learning some ways to open up difficult conversations.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to


  • describe the impact of parental conflict and why it is important to offer parents support

  • demonstrate increased confidence in how to start conversations about relationship issues and signpost parent to additional support

  • apply knowledge of resources to help parents recognise their relationship difficulties and make changes themselves

  • demonstrate confidence using strategies in handouts provided (Getting On Better pack & Relationship Essentials handbook)
