Mindfulness for Children and Young People
There will be some gentle movement, so please wear comfortable clothing. You may also like to bring along a yoga mat, blanket and cushion, for the mindfulness practice.
- examine the concept of mindfulness and how and why it might be applied with children and young people
- review the evidence and research into mindfulness with children and adolescents
- experience various mindfulness practices and have some techniques and tools to take away and work on one’s own wellbeing and to apply to one’s work with children and young people
Although not essential, if you would like to do some of the meditation exercises sitting on the floor rather than a chair then please bring any materials such as yoga mat, blanket or cushion with you.
