This course is appropriate for all Children’s Services staff, CVS staff, volunteers, support staff and foster carers and offers an introduction to understanding the key features of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and provides information about strategies for working with children and young people with ASD.

Learning outcomes
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- recognise and understand the common features of autistic spectrum disorder
- develop an understanding of anxiety and challenging behaviour that may be displayed by children and young people with ASD
- identify approaches and strategies to support children and young people with ASD
