These workshops are for all managers, social workers, care managers, access point staff and family coaches in FCL and HASC. They are an opportunity to learn alongside colleagues from other services about Brighton and Hove’s new protocol and practice guidance for working with parents with a learning disability/difficulty.

* Describe the people the protocol applies to

* Explain the context and aims of the protocol

* Understand the key principles of the protocol and how to access the practice guidance

* Understand the impact of the protocol and practice guidance on your role, including how you will work together with other parts of the local authority to meet the needs of parents with learning disabilities/difficulties and their children
