This training is mandatory for frontline children's social work teams where staff are working alone during the course of their work. A lone worker is defined as:
‘A worker whose activities involve a large percentage of their working time operating in situations without the benefit of interaction with other workers or without supervision’.
This bespoke training aims to increase personal safety awareness. It also covers the procedures required to ensure that personal safety issues at work are addressed.
