Overview
These on line sessions are aimed at improving staff awareness and practice by enhancing thier understanding of how Trauma and early adverse experiences can impact on how children and families will interact with safeguarding professionals.

The sessions will be facilitated by Chrissy Bulling (Lead Practitioner) and Kristie Hickle (Sussex University).

They will be made up of four 90mins sessions, with group work and work to do between sessions.

• Review the causes of trauma and impact on children and their families.

• Recognise trauma responses, understanding resilience and post traumatic growth in ourselves and the people we work with.

• Practice skills for responding to children and adults in a trauma-informed way

• Examine vicarious trauma and the impact on professionals.

• Review the learning and embed new skills into practice.

4 x 90 min sessions - 12 Participants. These sessions will be run as virtual training via microsoft teams.
