Overview
This session will help staff to identify microaggressions, stereotyping and language and consider their impact and commit to challenging them both in themselves, and in their colleagues.
The trainers will use teamwork, creative thinking and game-based learning to solve sensitive and complex Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Anti-racism problems.

By the end of this course you will be able to


  • list the different types of microaggressions

  • recognise the impact language and microaggressions can have on Black and minoritised communities

  • describe how microaggressions affect our communications with others

  • examine how to have conversations about microaggressions and stereotyping language

  • review how this learning can be transferred to recording and assessments
