Overview
This informative training session addresses the questions many practitioners discuss as they consider current challenges and expectations around assessment now that the revised EYFS is in place.

This course will support you in understanding the most manageable and effective approaches to this vital part of good practice.

The course shares insights into how an effective key person operates in collaboration with parents and colleagues.

Practitioners will be equipped to ensure that appropriate practices are tailored to match the needs of individual children.

Settings need to retain their core focus on high quality interactions and learning opportunities for children, whilst eliminating burdensome assessment and tracking systems and tuning in to each child’s learning needs and well-being.

The aims of this course are:

  • to enhance your understanding of best practice approaches to assessment in the EYFS

  • to equip you to review and refresh existing systems and move forward with confidence.
