Reflective Practice: An Introduction
Overview
Reflective practice is widely recognised as an integral aspect of social workers’ professional identity but it requires support in order for it to be developed and sustained. This workshop will provide you with theoretical and experiential insight into the underpinnings and impact of reflective practice groups and will provide you with the necessary understandings and skills to particpate in such groups.
The workshop has a mix of experiential and taught input based on ‘learning from experience’.

- describe the benefits of reflective practice to participants and citizens
- consider different ways of thinking about events, situations and issues
- consider the theory of reflective practice
