This focussed programme aims to develop manager’s knowledge, skills and confidence to enable them to fully integrate a coaching approach into the daily management of staff and projects in order to operate effectively, promote a culture of empowerment and engagement and to support creativity in a challenging business environment.
A coaching approach is increasingly well evidenced across the business community and public sector as an appropriate and successful leadership style, creating a ‘win-win’ effect, where staff are motivated and engaged, and work can be successfully devolved, freeing up valuable management time and resources.
Training objectives:-
- To define coaching and other similar management approaches to leading individuals and teams
- To examine when, where and how a coaching style of leadership would be beneficial and identify own management/leadership style in relation to coaching
- To develop coaching skills and understand coaching models and techniques to use in individual, groups/team coaching situations
