The training will improve knowledge and understanding of disabilities and neurodiversity and the impacts faced by our communities, with the aim of embedding inclusion and accessibility at the heart of how we communicate. we will highlight how to create an inclusive culture where everyone can feel welcome and supported and fully engaged in services.

Learning outcomes
By the end of this course you will be able to


  • demonstrate an increased awareness, understanding and confidence around disability

  • explain the different models of disabilities

  • explore neurodiversity (eg. Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Condition) and disabilities and their various impacts

  • share good disability etiquette

  • gain practical knowledge on different communication styles that support individuals with different learning styles

  • use this oppertunity for safe and open questions and discussion
