Code: BH/19/1452 Building Your Resilience (Housing Services)

Being resilient can help you bounce back in tough times, cope with additional pressures and stay healthy in times of change. Learning habits that build your resilience, ready for more turbulent times, will prevent you becoming over-whelmed by circumstances and keep you healthier in body and mind.

This short course for staff in housing services will introduce you to a resilience model against which you will self-assess against your current state of resilience, show you how a stronger base of resilience will help you cope with changes at work and home, and give you a taste of mindfulness exercises that can keep you calm and focused in stressful times.

Code: BH/19/1038 Children's CPD Module - Observing, Communicating & Engaging with Children & Young People

To apply for this module please register your Expression of Interest before the 17th May 2019.

This 30 Masters credit level module for social workers and other professionals who need to deepen their capabilities for understanding, engaging and communicating with children and young people in complex, contested and sensitive situations.

You must be in a role where you are regularly engaging and communicating directly with children and young people as the assignment requires reflection on, and evidence from, actual practice. Applicants may have previously undertaken child observation exercises in their qualifying training, but this module offers a much more in-depth and critical experience designed
to underpin specialist practice.

Please note - there is a requirement to observe a child not known to you on six occasions as part of this module. You need to factor this in to your planning and discuss with your manager before applying.
