This three day training covers the legal context for adult social care assessment of need and examines the role of  professional leadership in modelling good practice, cultural change and performance development in HASC and the Department of Health Knowledge and Skills Statement for Social Workers in Adult Services.

Through meaningful and critical discussions and with the support of a selection of guest speakers, a 360 degree view of practitioners assessment role, responsibilities, skills and approach to the work will be presented and explored in depth.


Attendance by practitioners means the local authority complies with the Care Act guidance regarding training for work under the Care Act 2014 and that staff develop the legal literacy and professional skills required for accountable and skilled interventions.
