People in receipt of social care have the same rights to live and also die with dignity as anyone else. This course is for care workers supporting people helping them to live well nearing the end of life with any end stage illness in any setting. It will consider how to provide personalised, culturally appropriate support and the practical skills to offer this.
Due to the course being delivered virtually, the event will take place over two sessions via Zoom:
- 18th November 2021 - 09.30-12.45 (Martlets Community Team and Hospice at Home)
- 19th November 2021 - 09.30-11.30 (Martlets Patient and Family Support Team)

This course looks at the main principles of adult safeguarding in line with the Care Act and the Making Safeguarding Personal approach. It explores practice issues regarding abuse or neglect to adults, including the responsibilities of staff in preventing and reporting. This course is aimed at customer facing staff who support adults.
