Code: BH/20/1363 Staying Focused with the Bullet Journal (Microsoft Teams)

This practical 1 day workshop and follow up e-learning module offers social workers and social care staff an opportunity to begin developing a reflective to-do list system to help manage competing priorities in challenging and busy social care settings. It is suitable for those carrying caseloads, supervisors and managers and also considers the role of Bullet Journalling in supporting critical thinking and safeguarding. The course is taught using a typical social work caseload as an example. We will use an adaptation of the Bullet Journal, a notebook based system, to explore the latest thinking on effective systems and habits which support focus and work-life balance. The workshop day will include live MS Teams Teaching, some self-guided learning exercises using a dedicated course website for part of the day, and individual support to set up your personalised journal in a 1:1 MS Teams Call.

Part 2 - Staying Focused Follow Up e-learning - Approximately one month after the workshop, participants will be emailed follow-up supporting resources and a link to access Part 2 of the course, 'Staying Focused e-learning module - Monthly Migration and Reflection'. This module will take approximately 2 hours to complete and involves working on your live Bullet Journal to move into the new month, guided by video lessons.
