Coronavirus has changed the way almost all of us work now. It has also affected all aspects of our lives.
Whether you are working from home, deployed to another role in the Council, needing to continue your usual work in the community with social distancing safety measures, or unable to work right now, there is a need to be aware of your personal resilience.

This highly interactive session will give you the opportunity to reflect on your current resilience levels, learn some tips on looking after yourself during the COVID19 crisis, and discuss with others aspects of resilience that are particularly important in these difficult times.

In response to the changes and challenges in social work practice at the current time the Practice Managers and Practice Education staff will be hosting a series of webinars that will address specific topics emerging from Covid-19. The theme for the first webinar will be Undertaking Virtual and Phone Assessments.

The aim of this webinar is to:

  • Offer a supportive and creative thinking space
  • Explore current experiences of undertaking assessments on-line  or by phone
  • Consider the possibilities and limitations of undertaking assessments online and how to address this with the  person, their family and their network
  • Share ideas and strategies to gather information from people in this context
  • Signposting to resources to help.

This webinar is facilitated by Alison Laing and Ruth Bradley and is convened for social workers in Adult Social Care.
Webinars for SCDS, Mental Health and hopsital services will follow.
The webinar is hosted over MS Teams or Skype (tbc) and in order to join you will need access to a computer or device. We will send you joining instructions nearer the time. You don't need to have your own access to MS Teams to join.

Alison and Ruth look forward to seeing you.
