Code: BH/21/1720 #UnitedForInclusion

National Inclusion Week is an annual event led by Inclusive Employers.  The theme for National Inclusion Week 2021 is #UnitedForInclusion and we are holding this webinar for all staff.

During the session, you will have the opportunity to meet representatives from each of our workers’ fora and trade unions to find out about the important work they do to support their members.  For those who manage staff, you can hear about why as a council we need to enable staff to attend network events and how it can benefit both individuals and their teams.

The council works collaboratively with a number of key stakeholders including our Trade Unions and elected members to meet Our People Promise commitment to be a fair and inclusive place to work.   Our workers’ fora help to increase our awareness and understanding through the sharing of their lived experiences and play an important part in shaping our fair and inclusive actions.

The Staff Survey 2021 has seen a 7% increase in positive responses to ‘the organisation feels like a fair and inclusive place to work’ and a 3% increase in positive responses to the Fair & Inclusive Index overall.  However, the results also show that the experiences of all staff is not the same.

Wherever you are in your understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion, the webinar should provide some valuable insight.
