This short course will introduce you to a resilience model against which you will self-assess against your current state of resilience, show you how a stronger base of resilience will help you cope with changes at work and home, and introduce you to exercises that can keep you calm and focused in stressful times.

This course aims to train delegates to be an initial point of contact in taking immediate action to deal with a casualty at work.

Candidates will be provided with the knowledge and skills required to preserve a life until more qualified personnel arrive to take over. If however, you are taking a lead in first aid in your workplace the three day First Aid at Work course may be more appropriate for you.

NB: Suitable clothing taking some physical activity into account should be worn.

Important Eligibility Applies - if you last completed training outside of the last 12 month period (30 days beyond this, absolute maximum is acceptable) or you have not completed training in this area before please do not book onto this refresher event, you must complete the bascic awareness event.

It is a National/local directive that staff refresh and update their knowledge and skills regularly. This half-day course will update staff on the possible injuries to themselves and enable them to carry out transfer operations safely.
