Code: BH/20/1277 Epilepsy Awareness, Seizure Management and Buccal Midazolam - SKYPE EVENT (EVENT FULL)

This course examines the classification and  management of seizures in the context of adults with learning disabilities.  It also covers the role of staff in supporting people with epilepsy, the psychosocial impact on the person and the administation of emergency medication.

During the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown delivering face to face training is a lot more challenging. The guidelines around buccal midazolam/emergency medication administration training state that clear face to face training is best practice. However adapting to ensure we are protecting all involved is essential.

Therefore this session will consist of  a virtual conference teaching resource which will be live and led by an experienced trainer who is  able to answer any bespoke questions around epilepsy. This creates the safest and best training option currently.

The learning gained during the live session will be supported by a workbook which must be completed by all learners prior to the session.
