Code: BH/18/1176 Children's CPD Module - Professional Learning Review / Professional Learning Review: Extended

To apply for this module please register your Expression of Interest before the 17th May 2019.

A 15 or 30 credit Masters level module for those wanting to bring prior learning and experience into a CPD award pathway.

The module comprises an individually tailored delivery of tutorials and, dependent on participant numbers, group tutorial sessions. These will assist the candidate to review previous learning against current learning outcomes, plan work and critically reflect on past and current practice in relation to contemporary reading and research relevant to role and award pathway.

The module would particularly suit those practitioners who gained practice teaching qualifications under a previous award structure and who now want to show how they have maintained currency and developed expertise and to bring those awards and credits into an existing framework. It may also be used as a stand-alone module providing an opportunity for candidates to bring previous study (for example the Practice Teacher’s Award) up to date, and refresh skills and knowledge.

NOTE: This module is primarily self study. Teaching will focus on the use of relevant knowledge and research for role (mapped against PCF) and the development of professional leadership in the role.
