We are pleased to announce new course dates for our HIV Awareness Training, HIV & Ageing and Chemsex Awareness Training, and also have a full day, in person, HIV Awareness training happening for the first time since 2019, which is very exciting! Please do forward this email on to your networks.
 

We are also trialling taking course registrations through Eventbrite now, so please click on the links below to book.

(If you are looking to book a make-up session that you missed on a previous course – please follow the booking link for the online course and answer the questions when you are prompted to in the booking process.)


NB. Most of the training is run via Zoom, but if your workplace can’t accommodate Zoom, it is absolutely fine for you to join from a personal device.

(These three modules form the ‘1 day course’, and should all be completed – though if you have to miss one session it is possible to catch up on the next round of courses.)

Code: BH/22/1185 Foundation Workshop in Medicines Administration - Adults (EVENT FULL)

A practical face to face course teaching how to administer medicines (in original packs) in a systematic way to reduce the chance of errors. It covers the Care Certificate and CQC requirements for medication training.

The course includes a competence test (3 simulated medicines rounds) with a follow-on online assessment if learners do not pass the test on the day.

This course is open to all Adult Social Care staff across the council and the Independent Voluntary Sector working in: -

  • care homes
  • home care
  • reablement
  • day services
  • short break service.
The latest Government Guidance is being followed to ensure that face to face training is delivered in the safest possible way to reduce the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19 . The attached COVID-19 Risk Assessment Guidance for Training Participants sets out the arrangements and what you are required to do when attending the training course. Please ensure these are read and understood before applying and attending the course.
