This course is designed to enable candidates to conduct stage 2 fire risk assessments in line with legislation and council policy.  The training will consist of practical and theoretical exercises which will enable candidates to identify fire safety hazards, assess the level of risk and implement practical control measures to minimize fire related risks at work.

Examples of potential fire safety hazards and the suitability of controls will be discussed.

This course has been adapted to be delivered virtually. It focuses on the hazards associated with the use of display screen equipment (DSE) and the need for suitable (DSE) risk assessments in line with the Display Screen Equipment  Regulations 1992 and Council Policy. 

This course aims to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to carry out DSE risk assessments and be a point of contact for queries.

This two part course is designed to provide candidates with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to conduct risk assessments in line with legislation and council policy
 
The training will consist of practical and theoretical exercises, which will assist candidates to identify work related hazards, assess the level of risk and implement practical control measures

Examples of what makes a suitable and sufficient risk assessment will be discussed and good practice tips and guidance will be provided

IMPORTANT: before attending this course, participants are required to complete Part 1 of this trainng - the iHasco Risk Assessment eLearning training, this will take approximnately 1 hour. This training can be accessed directly through the eLearning section on the Learning Gateway.

The trainer led virtual session delivered by ZOOM will form part 2 of the Risk Assessment training. We hope you can access the training with no technical difficulties. You will be sent a separate email with the Zoom access link before the course.

This two part course will provide delegates with an overview of COSHH.The training will focus on the potential hazrads associated with chemicals, substances and biological hazards in the workplace and how to control the risks.

Delegates will be provided with the skills and knowledge to extract key information from safety data sheets and complete suitable and sufficient COSHH risk assessments in-line with legal requirements, (the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) (COSHH) Regulations 2002.

IMPORTANT: Delegates are required to complete the iHasco COSHH eLearning training (Part 1) before attending the virtual trainer led session (Part 2). The eLearning training will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.This training can be accessed directly through the eLearning section of the Learning Gateway.
