Follow Up Session: Staying Focused with the Bullet Journal
This 2 hour workshop is a refresher for anyone who has attended the previous workshops on Staying Focused with the Bullet Journal. In the session you will have opportunity to:
‘begin again’ and set up your journal in a way which reflects your current needs;
ask questions and troubleshoot any challenges in an informal workshop setting;
learn about a new structured review process to facilitate deeper monthly reflection and resilience planning.
Please bring along your current bullet journal or a new notebook for use in the session.
This is a half-day (3.5 hours) education and awareness workshop. It is informal in style with an emphasis on experiential learning and participation. The course aims:
* To explore attitudes and preconceptions toward self-injury.
* To provide insight into the dynamics, meaning and functions of self-injury.
* To understand causes, triggers and cycles of harm.
* To consider helpful responses to people who self-injure.
Being resilient can help you bounce back in tough times, cope with additional pressures and stay healthy in times of change. Learning habits that build your resilience, ready for more turbulent times, will prevent you becoming over-whelmed by circumstances and keep you healthier in body and mind.
This short course will introduce you to a resilience model against which you will self-assess against your current state of resilience, show you how a stronger base of resilience will help you cope with changes at work and home, and give you a taste of mindfulness exercises that can keep you calm and focused in stressful times.Essential Information
This course aims to help us contribute to making our work environment better by improving understanding of how our beliefs can shape our behaviours. Through a mix of presentations, small group activities, videos and scenarios you will explore equality, diversity and inclusion issues in the workplace.
The course also provides an overview of equalities legislation. All new staff should complete the introductory Equality and Diversity elearning as part of their induction.

This course is aimed at staff involved in the manual handling of adults, including the use of hoists and other support equipment, who have completed the Safer People Handling Basic Awareness training course or a Safer People Handling refresher course within the last 12 months. Important Eligibility Applies - if you last completed training outside of the last 12 month period (30 days beyond this, absolute maximum is acceptable) or you have not completed training in this area before please do not book onto this refresher event, you must complete the bascic awareness event.
It is a National/local directive that staff refresh and update their knowledge and skills regularly. This half-day course will update staff on the possible injuries to themselves and enable them to carry out transfer operations safely.Essential Information

The session will end with the opportunity to put what you have learnt into practice by delivering a short message in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The course, for Adult Social Care Staff, enables first aiders to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill. It includes both theory and practical sessions and is designed to boost confidence. There is no final exam however delegates are assessed throughout the course and certificates, valid for three years, are issued to those who have reached the required standard.
Each delegate will be provided with a first aid manual.Essential Information
