The tragedy at Grenfell Tower last year and the recent sad incident at one of our schools resulting in the fatality of a Caretaker, are a powerful reminder of the magnitude of risks being managed daily across all services either provided or commissioned on behalf of the council.
Two Barrister led facilitated workshops have been arranged for the senior leadership team and governors in schools to help you better understand your role in protecting our citizens, the council, its officers and indeed yourself from corporate and personal liability/prosecution. The session will provide an overview of organisational and individual liability, prosecution of local authorities for health and safety offenses and sentencing guidelines.
Attendance at one of these workshops is very important and it is essential that every school sends a representative - the Head Teacher, a member of the Senior Leadership team, the Chair of Governors or Lead Health & Safety Governor.
