The course Restorative Practice in Adult Social Care is aimed at Social Workers, Operation Managers and staff in Adult Assessment Services involved in safeguarding enquiries. Restorative practice is most well-known for its use in the criminal justice system and in the light of the mounting evidence of its success it is now being embedded in schools, various housing environments, workplaces and communities across the world. In 2015 the Brighton & Hove Community Safety Partnership created a vision of a restorative city inviting individuals and communities to become part of this initiative.
Restorative practice has great relevance to person centred, asset based approaches and this course will look at how restorative approaches can contribute to making safeguarding personal.
The course will develop a basic understanding of safe and effective restorative practices and has been accredited by the Restorative Justice Council.
A number of dates are available from June to November.Click here to find out more and book your place on the course.
