This course is aimed at all staff who either need or should provide Reasonable Adjustments
The council as an employer has a positive and proactive legal duty to take steps to remove, reduce or prevent the obstacles faced by disabled employees or job applicants.
This is the duty to make Reasonable Adjustments.
It can mean removing physical barriers or providing extra support or equipment for a disabled worker.
Most Reasonable Adjustments are simple such as working more flexibly or buying a small piece of equipment and can be immediately agreed by the manager.
This course explains the council's policy and process on Reasonable Adjustments.
